I just signed up to volunteer for this really cool project with the @SierraClub called Climate Truth Tellers. 🤩 Each week they share 2-3 social media posts and ask volunteers to write positive comments on them. This matters because flooding these posts with comments increases engagement, making it more likely that other people will see factual environmental info. And our words drown out negativity or false information. This is so important because misinformation that is spread online can have serious consequences. Meanwhile, valuable content can get lost in the noise without enough people seeing it. Research shows that someone needs to see information three times before they remember it! 📢
