Join the social media storm 11am PT/2pm ET

#AANHPIEqualPay

Welcome to the fight for equal pay! Join NAPAWF, EPIC, Equal Pay Today and advocates, lawmakers, and community members from across the country to raise awareness about the wage gap that impacts AANHPI women and their families. According to 2022 Census data, on average, Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander women working full-time make 93 cents for every dollar paid to white, non-Hispanic men. But when you include part-time, part-year, and all other workers, AANHPI women are paid only 80 cents for every dollar paid to white, non-Hispanic men. In addition, disaggregated data reveals that many AANHPI women experience much larger wage gaps.

Beyond statistics lies the struggle of AANHPI women who earn as low as 49 cents for every $1 their white, non-Hispanic male counterparts make. This gap isn't just about money– it's about the ability to support families and weather economic hardship #AANHPIEqualPay

Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander (AANHPI) women who worked full time, year-round in 2022 were typically paid just 93 cents for every dollar paid to white, non-Hispanic men. Whatever the wage gap for AANHPI women, lost earnings due to the racist and sexist wage gap has robbed them of the economic security they and their families deserve and adds up to substantial losses over a lifetime. #AANHPIEqualpay

This year, Tongan women reported the lowest NHPI wage gap at 59 cents compared to the $1 made by their white male counterparts. Our Pasifika women deserve to have a living wage that allows them to rest without the financial burden! #ParityNow #AANHPIWomensEqualPay

Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander (AANHPI) women are overrepresented in frontline and low-wage positions, especially in the retail, restaurant, and personal care industry. Unequal pay exacerbates the barriers they face in their everyday lives, including the ability to provide and care for themselves, their children, and extended family members. Join us today to raise awareness on how unequal pay affects AANHPI communities. #AANHPIEqualPay

In Mississippi, the state with the worst wage gap for all workers with earnings, AANHPI women were paid just 51.3 cents per for every dollar paid to White men. Enough is enough! AANHPI women deserve more. #AANHPIEqualPay

Merging data for over 25 unique ethnic groups into one figure is overly simplistic 🧩. Such a method fails to capture the complex and nuanced picture needed to address wage inequality. Let's #DisaggregateData to truly understand the road to #AANHPIEqualPay!

The average figures mask the true extent of wage gaps for many AANHPI women 😔. For example, Bangladeshi & Nepalese American women make less than half of what white, non-Hispanic men earn. We must look beyond averages and address these urgent disparities 🚨. #AANHPIEqualPay
