alt text This year, Equal Pay Today is partnering with coalition members to raise awareness about the lack of wage gap data for LGBTQIA+ communities on June 17, 2025.

We join forces on LGBTQIA+ Equal Pay Awareness Day to challenge a system that devalues our labor, discriminates against our identities, and denies us the economic security we deserve. Together, we strive for a future where our contributions, regardless of gender identity, sex characteristics, or sexual orientation, are valued equally.

#LGBTQIAEqualPayDay Currently the U.S. Census Bureau does not collect the information needed to understand the pay disparities faced by women in the LGBTQIA+ community. This day serves as an awareness day for this gap that exists. According to research by the Human Rights Campaign, LGBTQIA+ workers earn 90% of what a typical worker makes, which is compounded when considering race and sex. No worker should face pay discrimination. #prideinyourpay Take action:

Equal pay means equal dignity. But right now, civil rights enforcement is under attack. EEOC leadership has openly refused to protect trans workers. We need action. We need accountability. Congress must restore and fund the agencies that protect us all. #LGBTQIAEqualPay #ProtectOurAgencies
